Day of Action in Montrose: Saturday, August 25th!

Guinn Unger, Democratic candidate for the 6th Senate District in Colorado, will be in Montrose this coming Saturday, August 25, with volunteers from Montrose and all over the district, to knock on doors, meet with voters, and later that evening attend the Annual Montrose County Democratic BBQ at Friendship Hall.

Nothing motivates voters more than hearing from their neighbors, and while we’ve got a great group of dedicated volunteers to knock doors with Guinn, we are hoping that you will join us to help get the word out about his campaign!

Our schedule for Saturday will be as follows:

11-12 a.m.: Volunteers and the campaign team will meet in downtown Montrose in front of The Vine Market at 347 E Main Street, Montrose, CO 81401.  This will be an opportunity for you to meet Guinn, get up to speed on our core issues and canvassing, and head out to start talking to voters.

2-3 p.m.: We’ll reconvene in downtown Montrose (location TBD) to share stories of the canvassing effort, talk about the issues most important to voters, and discuss Guinn’s campaign and his goals for our district.

5. p.m.: Guinn will be attending the 2018 Annual Montrose Democratic BBQ, at Friendship Hall at 1001 N. Second Street.  This is an opportunity to speak with not just Guinn, but other Democrats running for key offices in our district.  Information regarding the event, and how you can get tickets:

Politics starts at the local level, and our goal is to connect with as many voters, and folks who want to volunteer, as possible.  If you are in the Montrose area, or can be in the area Saturday, please send an email to campaign manager Corey Preston at, or just give him a call at: 970-903-6788.

We will send more updates over the course of the week as we finalize details.  Whether it’s to volunteer and join us in reaching out to critical voters, or just to stop by and say hello – and talk to Guinn and our team about the key issues we’re fighting for – we would love to see you!
